Al Lewis, Sales Manager PAID FOR SERVICES NOT PERFORMED

Six months ago I bout a boat from the BoatHouse in Cape Coral. Boat was to be detailed and serviced to ensure engine had no issues. I bought a GPS and asked that a flush kit be installed. I paid over $500 to have the GPS and flush kit installed. Boat was used three time in 6 months. When my boat did not start I discovered the battery was 3 yrs old. When the boat was delivered, we discovered the boat was never detailed as promised. We found debris under all the cushions and water in the hull. The big issue is that we were told the boat was serviced and all fluids changed like they do for all customers.

Well, I had a 35 year marine mechanic look at and repair my boat. Although we never complained about the detailing of the boat and age of the battery, I became livid when I discovered nothing was done to the boat regareding all fluids or that the engine was checked for proper lubrication.

The mechanic discovered that a substandard flush kit was installed and also discovered a bearing in the motor was never serviced because it had no grease and needed to bhe replaced.

I contacted the Boathouse asking for a partial refund and explained in detail what my mechanic found. Al Lewis, sales manager wrote back and said he reviewed the work order and found all was in order and that my mechanic was telling me this because he simply trying to earn work in the future.

Rather than talk to my mechanic or look at the boat, Al Lewis, the sales manager, made the decision that nothing was done wrong and my mechanic and I are liars. How Al Lewis is allowed to be employed by the owners of the company is hard for me to understand unless they condone this type behavior. I am pursuing legal action but would like to hear from other victims to start a class action suit as their is strength in numbers.

If you purchase a boat from this company, have your own mechanic look at it or you will be sorry.
