Membership - GE Money Fraudulent Claim filed Succesfully!

I was recently informed by GE Money that they had reviewed my dispute claim against Kis Golf and would settle for $1600.00. That was good news to me since I stopped paying them in November when Kis went bankrupt and their outrageous finance charges had started kicking in. The settlement was basically $550 for the "custom clubs", $350 for the prorated membership, and $700 for lessons availability (I had one lesson). They credited the difference back from what was originally owed and also waived the finance charges since I started my dispute process verbally with them before the finance charges would have been due in the 12 month interest free window.

My contention was that Kis presented itself fraudulently by claiming to own the Sycamore Valley Golf Course where I had previously been a member. I was emphatic that I wanted nothing to do with a membership that had ties to the previous owners and was assured they were totally out of the picture. That was not the case since the course was simply being leased from the previous owners. They got stuck for thou$ands like the rest of us unfortunately.

I wrote a detailed letter stating dates, and specifics that clearly indicated fraud and also mentioned GE's actions to withhold funding to Kis on approved memberships clearly showed they were aware as well and acting to protect themselves as well. Good luck and I hope this will help someone!
