Deceptive business practices under the guise of so-called "Christian" principles

This company is full of deceit and it makes me sick to think they get away with their horrid business practices. What would Jesus do? I don't know, but I do know he would not allow a business like this to be associated with any form of Christianity. These folks are liars, for one thing.

They will take your money and very quickly send you a receipt. That is the end of their customer service.

They will not accept phone calls, only emails, for their so-called "customer service".

With email communications, well, let me put it this way: these clowns do not want anything to do with you once they have your money. Now isn't that a nice Christian thing to do! They refuse to answer direct questions. They do not even supply a first name in their email responses, for what they are worth (not much).

Anyway, I wait a week and no confirmation arrives to say my ordered item has shipped. I send an email and two days later I get a terse response stating the product I ordered is backordered and I will get it sent when they get it in. No date provided. Isn't this lovely? The funny part is they always put "God Bless" at the end of their bullcrap stories, as if that is supposed to be something useful or relevant. And they always say "we apologize for inconvenience". I don't want their stupid, insincere apologies.

Nowhere on the product page was or is it stated that the product was not in stock and there was no known date when it would be. So they get to play with my money for quite possibly months and I am left holding the empty bag. These clowns do not even follow their own bullcrap policies. For example, on page http://www.gearforcamping.com/help_answer.Asp? ID=10#40, under the heading "When will my order ship" they state "Please see each individual item page for more information on the availability of each item." Well that is a load of horse dung if I ever saw one! Nowhere on the product page was it mentioned the product was not currently available. If that were indeed on the page, I would not have ordered it. And they know this is what folks will do so they don't tell you - even though they state in print that their policy is to put the availability of each item on its product webpage. This is out-and-out lying as far as I am concerned, but they rationalize it some other way I am sure, even though they are going against their own written policy. What a joke. I feel stupid for not doing my homework and now I have to go through the process of having my VISA charge cancelled. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THESE WEBTAILERS FROM HELL!

These people are giving the Christians in this world a bad name. They are giving all of us Americans a bad name. DO NOT ORDER ANYTHING EVER from them - you will only be helping them continue their hellish business practices. Remember, all the nice words that are on their website mean absolutely nothing in practice. The warning bells should go off when you see that they will not take any phone calls unless you are buying something. Already bought something from them and want to speak to them about your order? Fat chance of ever talking to them. You MUST use email and only email. Now what kind of legitimate business would have this policy in place, I ask you?
