KIS Golf
Stuck with Clubs

Sports

My wife had filled out the card at one of the local Christian concerts. A few days later we were contacted by the Kennessaw office and asked us to come in our free tour. I told them if this was going to be like a "time share" pitch, we were not interested. They responded by saying, "No big deal, do the tour, drink a soda, and if you are not interested, no biggie, go to dinner on us.
We went the following week, and were met at the door by a "Christian Minister." He said he speaks at churches throughout the area, and that he performs a skit at churches. Then the rest of the KIS crew began to tell us how they were all Christians, and were so family centered.

We then shared with them how we had lost our home, child and job in the month of Febuary and had moved to the Woodstock area to start over. And that my wife and I would actually enjoy doing something new together, and that the vacations would be something nice. Matter of fact, I called my Dad and told him that we had joined KIS, and that one of the member "perks", was a free vacation that could be given to family members. I told my Dad we would give him the vacation of "2008" for my mom and dad could use it to for there 50th year celebration of marriage.

My wife and I took several lessons, and attended the office and played golf several times together. But on several different attempts to get our membership card, or our log on number for the vacation, we were put off.
We were told that our memberships would total a little over $7000 with finance charges, but when the bill came, it was for over $9,000. We got our payments to be held for 6 months.

This past sunday, my wife and I stopped by the office of KIS in Kennessaw, and saw the sign that they would reopen on Dec. 3 2008 due to remodeling. But today, we checked our mail and got the nice letter from KIS saying they were out of business.

I have no clue what to do, my wife and I have 2 nice sets of clubs, but we didn't get involved with KIS for the clubs, we bought in for the vacation package, the lifetime lessons, and the "discount" card to play courses throughout the SouthEast for cheaper prices. We only got clubs.

I would like to speak with a class action law suit attorney to file for a request to the courts for a complete list of all members like myself, and represent all members who paid or commited to pay for something we did not and will not receive.
