Gold Gym South Beach Gold Gym is giving you a hard time to end membership

Dear reader:

I signed up with Gold Gym with my boyfriend together.
To begin with they would charge him double for 4 month. Every time they charged him wrong again my boyfriend had to go to see the manager to correct the mistake and refund his money back.

That happened 4 month in the row!

I stayed with Gold Gym 8 Month even:
1. Classes start late (sometimes even 20 minutes)
2. Scheduled classes end earlier than listed in Class schedule
3. Machines are nasty dirty / not properly cleaned
4. Bad trainings atmosphere

After several disappointments I decided to change the gym.
Since I lost my contract (my mistake) I contacted Gold Gym asking for cancellation policy.
The person that took my call - confirmed a cancellation notice of 5 days by email.
Somehow they never got the email. At this point I considered it still to be my mistake (maybe I got the wrong spelling of their email address)
So I called them up again - this time asking for the manager in duty.

Now this time I really wanted to make sure that there is no mistake on my side and reconfirmed email address twice. Additional to that I asked them to reconfirm me that they got my email.

I waited one day and never heard back from the manager. So I called in again. She promised to take care of it. Again with no results (this time I gave her 1 week)
After back and forwards calling I went to see the owner. He did not see any of this Gold Gyms falt and did not recognized that they have an issue in their Billing department. And in top off that he insulted me personally. Telling me that I should probably train more my brain not my body.

Now somebody may think things went wrong either on my other on their side. But after finding out that one friend of mine who worked out there as well experienced the same issues. Now I know definitely that this was not my mistake.

This is simply a gym that is not professional and organized well enough to value their customers.

So I highly recommend you do not to sighn up with them!
