Lucien in the York and 76th location first told me you can cancel at any time when I signed up for the 1 year contract all I had to do was show them I also had a New Jersey address... Then I felt that was strange so I decided within the three days to cancel. Then he convinced me to go for the "pay as you go" I asked why I had to sign and he said just so we can charge your credit card.

Then a Month later I inquired about canceling and when I told him the reason for canceling was I wanted to try NYSC he said "You can't afford NYHRC" I said okay whatever I want to cancel. Then he told me it's a 3 month minimum notice before you cancel. I said I wanna speak with the manager he said no you're not allowed. So I left his office and he followed me and embarressed me and himself in front of other people who I knew in the club, repeating "You shouldn't have signed up if you couldn't afford it". The manager a woman who no longer works there said I would have to call the main office and affirmed she would "vouch" for me. I called up they said they would cancel 1 month early.

So when I agreed and paid they told me no you have to send in an affidavit. Then I moved back to New Jersey (I was in NY for the semester) They kept charging me and I reluctantly agreed to pay another month if they stopped charging me even though they had no legal right to do so since I lived in Southern New Jersey (over 100 miles from their nearest club) I disputed further charges with the credit agency and won. They then recharged my card under another name... Which the credit card company refused to dispute again. Thats That...
