Dishonest, Horrible Customer Service, Broke my boat!

We took our boat to get some routine work done on it so it would be ready for the summer boating season. We had to make a few more repairs than we thought but were willing to pay so the boat would last longer. We took the boat out for about an hour and noticed the boat ran not up to par. We figured it just needed to run for awhile and took it back home. A few weeks later we loaded back on it and immediately the boat ran bad. We should have taken in back immediately but chose to see if running it would help. The boat died several times and we finally got it running to take it back to the marina.

We took the boat into Mesa Marine Inc. To have them look at it again. We were told that 4 of the 6 cylinders were shot and the engine was beyone repair. We asked how that could have happened in such a short period of time. They said it could have been any number of things.

We were shown test results of a diagnostic test they did on the engine before they started the initial work. It stated that the engine was in good running condition.

We asked what happened again and they told us that it wasn't their fault, they never touched the engine and nothing they would have done would have caused that to happen. They take no responsibility to the fact that we brought our boat in for ROUTINE work and picked up the boat that is no longer running.

They will not offer to pay us for a new engine, nor will they refund us any money that we paid for the repairs that we never even got to see the results of.

The most disgraceful part is the way the manager/owner treated us. For those people who boat you understand the life of boating, these people have no concept of that and will not offer to assist us in any way. They are a disgrace to boaters everywhere.

Please do not take your boat to these people. They have no problem taking your money and placing the blame on you if something goes wrong!
