Ripoff bills for backordered merchandise never delivers merchandise or credit

I can echo the other reports of ripoffs by World Wide Aquatics. I ordered three swim suits and a pair of goggles around Christmas. The goggles were shipped four days later and I received them. One swim suit was "shipped" via USPS seven days later, but never arrived. The other two were back-ordered. My credit card was billed for all three.

I reported the missing suit on Jan 9 and was told to wait until 3 weeks after the shipping date, then report it missing. I did so, and was told a replacement would be shipped.

Meanwhile, the two backordered suits were "shipped" and they too came up missing. I was told they have "a lot of trouble" with USPS. Hard to believe, but if true, why do they use that method? Again, wait 3 weeks from shipping date, then file missing report.

By now, I am very wary of promises, so I cancelled the order for the two missing suits. I am promised a credit for the items. I have called four times and spoken to CSRs and was told my credit was processed. Not. I called for a manager twice. They are never there, so I had to leave voicemails for callbacks that never came.

It is now 4-1/2 months since I was initially promised a credit, and six weeks since I was told my credit has been processed. No explantation of why it takes 3 months to process credit. And, oh, by the way, still no credit.

Do not do business with these people. They have no stock. From this and other reports, they ship very few ordered items. The stuff they claim to ship always somehow comes up missing through absolutely no fault of World Wide Aquatics (of course), and replacements come slowly or never. This seems to be an excellent business model for them. Why go to the expense of actually shipping merchandise when you can just collect money?
