Billing ripoffs

La Fitness is a rip-off coorporation with illusions of grandeur! I joined prior to moving to Florida from out of state. The gym was still under construction when I arrived in Florida. To make a long story short... I became an employee of LA Fitness, got treated horribly, had my account activated prior to the gym opening for business, started complaining about wrongful billing on my bank account (no credits were issued), got a letter from my manager acknowledging wrongful billing on LA Fitness's part (which was sent to the bank by her although this didn't clear up the bank issue or the wrongful billing from LA Fitness), kept complaining, I was cut back to one day of work per week, then laid off for working only one day per week, continued having issues with the bank due to LA Fitness, put a stop payment on a bank account (this account was at the same bank although I had NEVER given the gym the account info), and finally... Last straw... Had the new manager laugh in my face after being rude to me about refusing entry to the gym until I paid off the balance on my account.

ALL in ALL - this gym is horrific. It is a corporation that has made it's name in ripping people off and never having to take responsibility for it... Why? Because we, as customers let them. My bank cashier told me that the same thing happened to her, wrong billing and she just let them keep her membership dues and cancelled the membership. This is why this corporation keeps thriving! What happened to CLASS ACTION LAWSUITS to protect the public from scams working as legitimate companies? Are we all going to lie down and let these companies run us over because it's too much of a problem? DO SOMETHING! IF anyone else has had issues like mine, let me know... Let's get a list together and start a class action lawsuit! I'll be waiting.
