Ripoff Ripoff Damageed No boxes overpaid

Two Men and a Truck moved my stuff to a new apartment within Austin on 9/24/04. Earlier that week, I had called to confirm the move. They asked if I needed boxes for my items. I said that I had some items boxed up, but would still need more on moving day. I was told that the information was being entered into the computer to bring boxes.

The movers arrived on 9/24/04 with no boxes. This extended the time and cost, because I was paying by the hour. The move ended up being 2 1/2 hours. I had to pack items in grocery and garbage sacks. I also had to make extra trips back to my apartment for the rest of my items after the move. I pitched in my time and labor (and so did my parents) to keep the cost down (extra labor time ~ $50). This put me at a loss of $50, and I would like this refunded.

During the move, my computer desk drawer got jammed. My father managed to fix it temporarily, but it is now again broken. I cannot pull it out at all. The computer desk costs $100.

I emailed the national organization by emial. I emailed the national chain (email) (800.345.1070) on 10/5. I was responded to by on 10/6 that they were forwarding this to the Austin branch. I heard no word, so I called the Austin branch on 10/14/04. I was asked why have I waited so long to contact them, and that I should have called sooner. They said they don't do replacments, but they do repairs. Their add, though, says that they are bonded and insured, and this is why I told them. Their sales person on the phone when I agreed to their servies told me this. I am suppose to hear at some future point about the possiblity of having my item repaired, but I think it's unrepairable.
