Ripoff, gave false info to obtain a contract

The company was contacted to clear the old security code on an existing system in an unoccupied remodeled house. The salesperson knew the house was to be sold within a few months.

He insisted on changing out all the old equiptment for new even though the system was in good working order. He convinced my husband that to moniter the system he needed a new contract and once the house was sold the contract would automatically transfer to the new owners of the home.

This information was totally FALSE. The new owners did not want to pay for monitering as they could get the service for less money. Absolute Protection now wants us to pay the total cost for the monitering for 3 years (about $1700.00) and is threatening to send the bill to collections and ruin our credit.

We never would have signed a contract with them if we were not LIED to by the salesperson.
