Joey Strubin, Living Art Exotics Unethical & Shameful Breeder Should Be Closed Down Palos & Internet-based

As a very concerned pet owner and a great lover of animals, I feel that it is only necessary to show the global community of individuals who are out there that have no care and show no help/remorse regarding animals when a breeder displays they have a quality and ethical breeding program.

I have become very disappointed and with good reason regarding, Breeder, Joey Strubin of Palos Illinois who solely runs Living Art Exotics Cattery.

On his website (www.livingartexotics.com), he states that: "no kitten is ever tossed aside" [please refer to the attached screen shot of his website].

Being tossed aside (along with my cats) has exactly been my experience.

For this reason, has been the hallmark cause to let other future pet buys to be very careful with your dealings and interactions with mr. Joey strubin of living art exotics cattery in palos, illinois.

Please keep in mind, that I have purchased a total of three cats from this specific cattery, with two purchases just recently of two desert lynx kittens. I have dealt with a similar the circumstance the first time I have purchased my first cat from Joey — I decided at the time to give him a benefit of the doubt and even at this point, wish to only speak about my recent interaction — please know that history is repeating itself. However, since I really adored his mastery for breeding these gorgious exotic cats of the hylander and the desert lynx... And I really wanted to a beloved pet owner, I decided to give his cat's another chance.

That was a BIG MISTAKE!!!

When you meet Joey, he will explain his great love and attraction for these wonderful, beautiful cats. You will see that he has a whole breeding-environment of many "wild" cats in his basement. He has huge enclosures all over his basement as he mass breeds cats... Which carries over into his garage. The appearance of how this is displayed does appear odd and questionable — his true reason why he is breeding, for love or just soley for the money. He says that all of his kittens are properly vaccinated (even though, when I handed the pet records to my personal vet who question the legitimacy of the vaccinations as there were no signifing labels on the paper documents — which is not a standard IL practice for pet vaccinations for there NOT to be any "labels" near the vaccination dates — So where they even given??? Much to speculate!!!).

I found very quickly that with one of the kittens (which Joey was kind to replace) that they were a little too wild, even for kittens. I replaced with another kitten, who at first, was very passive and sweet — turned into a wild beast of a feline... These kittens are not very behaviorally sound. I do not know how exactly they are raised and reared by Joey (who says he cuts the tails of himself — and doesn't go to the vet to have them medically taken off) but these kittens should not be approved for domesicating them in a household. They are not your average household kitten/cat — these are from a lineage a junglecat/bobcat. There is another breader of this same breed who has ties and connections to Circus who says these are very good household pets — but his kittens possess raw, bold and unrulely demeanor. There is definetly something wrong that he is doing with these kittens/cats.

MORE IMPORTANTLY, after I adopted the two desert lynx — who where integrated with my first cat and four other dogs (who were all well and healthy BEFORE the new kittens came into the household) were very sick with a respiratory infection that spread to my other initial cat and to my dogs. I had to give them heavy regimens of Clavamox. I informed Joey immediately via telephone about this. He said that because he was "cattery" he would give me several dosages to treat this condition and would charge $5.00. Which was fine. HE NEVER FOLLOWED UP!!!

After a good portion of days passed, my new kittens and previously pets soon became infected and also had to be treated. During a RECHECK — they discovered RINGWORM on the kitten. Days after, the RINGWORM had spread to my other animals. And, up until RECENTLY, I have started to develop the condition of RINGWORM. I have informed this. Joey sent a replied text that made no sense and that something about whatever & NEVER HEARD FROM HIM.

This Breeder said that all his kittens were healthy and were also dewormed. THEY WERE NOT — they were DISEASED WITH RINGWORM and had SEVERE RESPIRATORY COLDS.in most cases, breeders would take this upon themselves and over the costs. I am also aware of the local petstore (Happiness Is Pets — which also has their own "ethical" issues — also "COVERS" cases where spread of disease, infection and colds.

JOEY & LIVING ART EXOTICS DROPPED ME AND MY NEWLY PURCHASED KITTENS OUT IN THE COLD — STUCK WITH MASSIVE VET BILLS THAT SHOULD HAVE NOT HAPPENED IF THESE KITTENS PER SEVERAL VETS (Animal Medical Center; Midwest Animal Hospital; and Bandfield Clinic of PetsMart — and yes, I got three VET Referrals — which are all happy to discuss my case with Joey of Living Art Exotics) that THIS WAS UNETHICAL CONDUCT OF A CATTERY/BREEDER.

I would like to inform EVERYONE not to purchase ANYTHING from this cattery — do not support them — they do not care for their kittens or do they care about you (the pet owner); even when your a returning customer from the past.

This cattery is a criminal operation as far as i can see it — it should be shut down, and face pentaltys and fines. I will be personally advocating agaist this cattery and will take this case furthur to several investigative authorities to research and find fault with this cattery.

Do not believe their website — they do toss their kittens aside (including you!)
