Scammed twice by AuraVie - my bank investigated and found in MY favo

I had the same experience as noted in other reports here. Ordered a free sample and agreed to pay the $4.95 shipping. Next thing I know, I'm charged $97.88 on my debit card. I called them and they gave me the song and dance about it being a free trial offer rather than a free sample, and that, of course, I had exceeded the time limit to send the product back for a refund. At that time, I called my bank and initiated a fraud claim.

A few weeks later another shipment of "free sample" arrived, and I was immediately charged the $97.88. I called my bank at once and reported a second fraud claim against Auravie.in both cases, the $97.88 was refunded to my account provisionally, pending the bank's investigation. What I was told was that Auravie had one month from the date I initiated the fraud complaint to respond. Today (9/29) I received a notice from my bank on the first claim (in July) that the investigation was found in my favor. Now, either Auravie was found to be indeed scamming people, or they never responded to the complaint.

So I would suggest that anyone who has had this happen to them to contact your bank at once and start a fraud complaint. I was pleased with the result, and have every reason to think that my second claim will also be found in my favor.

As a footnote: after the second fraudulent charge on my debit card, I got a new one with a different number so that they could not charge anything else to me. This was what the bank suggested I do. If it is appropriate here, I can let people know which bank it was that worked on this for me.
