I'm unemployed and sure my credit report isn't in good standing at the present time. I was shocked to recieve this credit card in the mail when I haven't made any applications for one. I was very skeptical at first and even more so after I opened the envelope and didn't see the word VISA or MasterCharge on the card.

There was so much too read in the policy sent along with it that I knew it had to be a scam. Maybe it's just my age and wisdom that warned me. I would just like to tell anyone out there who is young in their age, BEWARE of fraud and credit card scams like this one. Go through a trusted source. First of all, get advice from someone you know and trust like your parents and a close friend.

One more small piece of advice for another letter on read on this site. It stated, "I've been here for 4 months and know how important it is to have credit here, but everybody keeps turning me down."

My advice to you would be to start out with the bank you have your checking account at. Tell them you want to apply for a credit card that is under a 'secured account'. Secured means that you will have to put the money up front for the amount of credit they will give you. For example, if you deposit $300 in the secured account for this credit card you are asking for, they will give you a credit card for a $300 credit line. This way their butt is covered. They already have the money for which you are charging. After a year, if you pay the bills regularly each month on time and in full, they will refund the $300 deposit to you and let you keep the credit card for the same amount of credit line.

Once the other companies see this, you will start getting applications like junk mail. LOL: O) But BEWARE, Credit Cards are something that must be used wisely and paid on time. If so, you will build yourself a good credit history. Just remember not to abuse it or you'll LOSE IT.: O)
