Ripoff Fraudulant Charges On Phone Bill

Just a few days ago I went online to take a look at my SBC phone bill. When I saw the amount due (almost $300.00) I thought to myself, "What the f* is this?" So I was looking over my billing details when I noticed some crazy charges with some company I never even heard of. A company under the care of USBI called One Call Comm. This is what I saw on my bill: Billed on Behalf of: ONE CALL COMM

So I waited till Monday to call SBC and find out what these fraudulent charges were. After talking with an SBC operator she told me that she would lable these charges as being disputed. So she then told me I needed to contact the number of the company on the bill. Also if the company that these charges were under wouldn't work with me then SBC would take care of it. (I like SBC.)

I called this company USBI and I told the operator there that I have no idea what these charges are for, because I would never call the United Kingdom. She then told me that I must of agreed to pay these (insane if I might add) charges. I told her that there was possible way I would of agreed to this. I also went on to tell her that I had already contacted my phone company and the charges are being disputed. I said to her I am not going to pay $80.04. So she then said okay and gave me some kind of company credit and put a block on my phone line so that I could access thier services. Which in case I agreed this is reasonable and fair.

In conclusion I think they (USBI AKA One Call Comm.) is getting allot of heat from angry people who are not going to take it in the ass. Also I wouldn't have learned how much of a scam this is if I hadn't typed in the name One Call Comm.in the Yahoo search bar. Yahoo lead me to this website were I have learned this is happening to other people. Thanks.
