Excessive and unauthorized fees

Company hired to move items from a family member's garage to another location 400 miles away. These items were delivered to the pickup location by another moving company about one year prior. Movers were told there was to be no packing only a pick up and delivery. Movers packed without authorization from the customer who ordered the move. Movers obtained permission for packing from an unauthorized person at the pick location instead of calling the paying customer. Movers billed customer an additional $1518.89 and informed the customer 3 days later.

When customer complained and asked to speak with a manager, customer was told the manager was on vacation and would not be back until after the scheduled delivery date, later that day customer recieved an email stating that the company rep had spoken to the manager who was adding an additional fee of $300 for re-scheduling to the total bill. Still no response from the manager directly to the customer only more charges added to the original quoted price. Rep demanded more payment upfront before delivery. Customer is 82 years old. It appears customer is being extorted and her belongings are being held hostage.
