Ripoff dishonest fraudulent thief

My husband & I recently moved to arizona, we built a house in a subdivision that is just building up. During the building process we received several notices soliciting landscaping and we called several to get estimates. Allscapes came and we went through what it is that we wanted and they gave us an estimate. They told us that work would begin on that following Tuesday but that they needed half down with the other half due upon completion. Yes, we did check with the Better Business Bureau, and no there was no reports. Tuesday came and went and no workers. So we contacted the project manager and told him that we wanted to cancel and to please stop the credit card payment. He told us no problem. Then we found out that they processed it anyway. The downpayment was $4,471.00.

We called and left messages with no response then we started e-mailing them. Now we get a response and we are informed that they would refund us the monies. Two days later we received a check in the mail for $3,328.79 with a letter stating that they had already paid the project manager his commission and that if we wanted that refunded then we needed to contact him because he no longer worked there. We emailed him back and told him that was not our problem. He said that he would see what he could do. So 2 months have passed and the check that he sent us went into the bank and we find out that the check had a stop payment on it from "ALLSCAPES" we have continued to try and reach them with no response. Please pass this on so that no one else gets ripped off as we did.
