Mosaic Studios, Mosaic Studio and Cary Gottlieb scammed me and many other newleywed couples out of thousands of dollars

My wife and I were referred to Cary Gottlieb and Mosaic Studios/Mosaic Weddings from a friend. He was very pleasant in the beginning when we was trying to earn out business, saying all the right things. We decided to use him to photograph our wedding. We paid him almost $4,000 up front because we believed he was reputable and honest.

In the contract we signed with Cary, we were supposed to receive two wedding albums, several large framed pictures, as well as several additional items. We just celebrated our one year anniversary and we still do not have the wedding albums.

I've gone to his studio several time and no one was there. The last time that I went to the studio, it was closed and completely empty. We have left dozens of messages for him, and he has not returned any of the calls. The few times he did call up back (months ago) he apologized profusely and promised to deliver our completed albums within weeks. Cary is a scam artist and a very unethical person. A couple's wedding day is a precious, memorable moment. My wife and I cannot relive this day because Cary has robbed us of that by taking our money and not giving us what we paid for.

Thankfully we have detailed records of every phone call and email he sent us over the past year, so we plan to recoup our losses in court, plus damages for the emotional pain he has caused us.

I have seen many other people post complaints about Cary online, basically with the same story. He gets all the money up front, then doesn't fill his contractual obligation. And even worse, he stops returning phone calls and disappears. What makes me even more angry is that he is still working because on his website I can see that he photographed a bat mitzvah last weekend. I feel bad for the unknowing families that most defiently will suffer the same fate as we did. I hope this warning reaches anyone that is considering using Cary Gottlieb.
