I purchased star search castings membership in September. I found their ad in a news paper on my college campus.
I was not satisfied with the program and cancelled my membership in September and was also given the run around.
A check was mailed to me and I cashed it my dismay the check bounced. After I went to my bank I later found that 29.95 was also being withdrawn from my account by a company associated with Star Search casting called impact legal.
I told by the President Jonathan Parker that impact legal: We would like to do everything we can to help you get your money back. The place to start is with your own bank or Credit Card Company. Call them as soon
as possible and ask if you can charge back any charges you do not agree with or that were illegally charged to your credit card. Most banks have a 60 to 90 day period after a charge was made to your account in which they issue a chargeback to the company that originally charged you in this case, Prime Time Casting. Visa allows a customer to chargeback for a period of up to 6 months (although your bank may not go this long). When your bank issues a chargeback, this automatically credits your account so you get your money back. If your
credit card is being charged monthly by Impact Legal, you should be able to get back at least the last two months of charges credited back to your account, and
cancel any further charges from that company.
This is all a lie and these people can not be stoped. I contacted my bank who would not charge back the charges because they state that I waited past the 60 day period. I was unaware of this company until late in october and contacted my bank in November.
I was removed from my bank because the people contributed to my funds being depleted.
The atttorney general can't even help. They refused to take any complaints made about this company.
