OBTAINS your account information from the Con Edison Company and instead of saving you money as they claim. You are contracted for 24 months to pay OASIS ENERGY & CON EDISON FOR THE SAME EXACT SERVICE

Oasis Energy had a representative call me on May 5, offering a savings on my future bills with my already exsisting Con Edison, gas & electric account. The Rep offered an 8% savings for the first 2 months, and a 5% savings on the following 22 months. Placing me in a 24 month contract.

The Rep did inform me that the bill would come from Con Edison, but that thier company would take over the account, as he assured me of the wonderful savings I would receive. I received my first bill in July, for the month of June.

I discovered, that I am now paying both Con Edison, and Oasis Energy for gas and electric usage. I called Oasis to find out why I am paying both companies, and the Customer Service Rep wanted me to look on the bright side, that they are charging 5% less than Con Edison.

I stated, "Ok, but my bill is more!" (Technically, I was suppose to pay 8% less) At this point I did not care what the % was, I just wanted out! If I have to pay both companies for the same services, then I would like to cancel.

I was then informed, of the astronomical amount I would have to pay in fees inorder to do an early cancellation on both gas and electric.

Finally she agrees to let me out of the contract in 6 months, waiving the early termination fees, effective: January. So, basically they will collect 6 months of payments along with my current company for a service that I've had, and been paying for all along.

For 5% less; yet in addition to... Please BEWARE!
