I have never been disrespected and humiliated like I have been in the Verizon Wireless Icon private own company located on 290 Larkin drive in Monroe, NY. On 07-02 I have entered the store to purchase a Auxiliary cable for my phone. After 5 minutes of waiting with three sales associates working and me being the only customer in the store, David (sales associate) decided to stop his conforsation with his co-workers and offer me assistance. I wasn't sure if I had enough cash on me so I asked him what the price was. He right away asked me how much money I had on me. When I told him I had 32$ in cash and my credit card in the car, he told me he'll see what he can do for me. He charged me $31.90.
A day later I was talking to my co-worker who happened to let me know that I can get a aux cable for $ 5.00. Two days later I called the company to see if I can return it since I found one for a lot less money. They were closing in 25 minutes and I didn't have enough time to find my receipt. I spoke to Tom on the phone and he said not a problem, we can reprint one for you when you come in. I rushed to the store and once I walked in everyone's face expressions changed. When I spoke to the sales associate and he looked up my information he told me there's no way to reprint my receipt. He told me the only thing they can do for me is to match the price if I find the receipt. I told them im happy with the purchase I made at the other store and that I just want to return it. They told me they can't do anything without the receipt but if I find it within 14 days (return policy) im more then welcomed to return it. (They were sure I was not going to find it.) The next day I found the receipt at my house and i drove to the store to return the merchandise. When I walked in, the sales associate that was about to help me already knew what was going on. I have not seen him before. He took the aux cable out of the box to examine it and told me I can not return it. I asked him why and he did not answer me. I told him I just want to return it and get my money back. He told me the best they can do is give me store credit. I was so upset! The return policy says 14 days! It was 4 days after I purchased it! There was no reason what so ever for them not to return it! I did not want store credit because I did not want to spend ANY money with this company EVER again!!! I know for a fact that they over charged me and took my money! Right when they saw me walk through the door they couldn't reprint the receipt because they knew what they did wrong. The whole time they were very rude and disrespectful and found the situation funny. I told them I would not leave the store until the money was returned to me and they looked at each other and laughed. I told them I was going to do something about it because it isn't okay for them to take my money, they said "haha go ahead and good luck with that." I wanted to speak to the manager and each day a different sales associate said they were the manager. I am so frustrated and upset. I have never been treated with such disrespect in my life.
I warn you to never purchase anything from that store. They are a private own company and they feel like they have the right to do anything they want. All the sales associate are very young and very immature. After talking to several people about this and reading the reviews on their website I found out I was not the only one with this horrible customer service experience. The company is known for over charging, taking your money and selling you used cell phones. I am writing this because I hope no one goes through the same experience that I had to go through. Since my English is not to good, they though they can take advantage of me and my money. I hope someone takes the time to read this and makes them be responsible for their actions or atleast take my advice and never enter or purchase anything from that store. I never had any problems with any other verizon store, only this one. The manager (Vivianna) needs to step in and really work with her staff and teach them what respect is and how to treat customers with respect. This is VERY embarrassing! Im disgusted!!!
