Mid flow teat

My son was just over 3 months old when i decided to change his teat from low to mid flow. For the first month the teats material was very hard and new so that would cause the teat to get swalled by the bottle, and eventually the milk would not come out making my poor have to wait until the teat came out again. However now that the teats have been used for a long time about one and half month the teats seem to speel milk every where all over my son s face and the worse, the teats flow is so strong that my son chokes and takes a lot of air into his tummy while feeding. About a week ago, since when the teats start to give a fast flow, my son dropped down by half on his feeds. Every time i fed him i would hear his stomach rambling with so much air he was swaling and would put him off feed after only a few minutes. Poor him thought there was something but could not tell why he was drinking as much, when i decide to give him the slow flow again just to see what would happen. It was amazing now he is having a very peaceful feed and controling a lot better the teat flow and he is now back to his 6/7 oz.
