After 4 months of planning, boxing and accurately (to a tee) inventorying all my property, I received a "high" quote from Infinity Moving & Storage. They of course came in lower than the other companies, I was told that this is because they ship by "volume" not weight. And that is also why they are much more accurate on their quotes.

So, the "NIGHTMARE" begins; On the day of the move I was told that they would arrive at 9am, after many phone calls and waiting they showed up after 3pm. They opened up the doors to the truck, and I see that its almost full, only 10 feet of space left for my 3 bedroom home. I'm devastated, the driver says it'll fit, then proceeds to track dirt and grass all over my white carpeting, and informs me that MY inventory was way off, that there's stuff in the house that wasn't on our list. Wrong. I have the contract in front of me and everything is right." We'll the price is gonna be a lot higher" (he meant almost double) Still it won't fit on the truck. But they can come back in 4 or 5 days to get what they can't fit today. I have to leave the next morning at 5am and the closing on the house is the day after that. I'm devastated, I can't fix this, no way no how, I have no where to turn. My husband, 1000 miles away, talks to the owner of the company ("I'll do everything I can to make this right") He says they'll take half now, put it into a local storage facility, than come back in the morning to get the rest, "don't worry, we are under contract with you and we'll take care of everything." ok, (big mistake).

NIGHTMARE (Part II) the Delivery. The truck arrives, late of course, and the driver makes me pay cash up front; no money no unload. I've already been dealing with Johnathan, at ANTHEM CLAIM MANAGEMENT, about the doubling of the price, when the inventory was accuate, but, no help from them yet. Like myself, the owner of Infinity isn't answering his calls or e-mails either, so I have no choice but to pay up. So I watch in horror as most of my boxes are unloaded, all crushed and soaking wet too. Some of them completely disintegrated before they were removed from the truck. I'm devistated, the driver tells me that the last load didn't mind that they unload in a downpour (tropical storm debby, it was raining sideways) so all of my stuff got soaked too. I see that my boxes marked with big red stickers FRAGILE, are in the worst shape, I asked the driver, he reply's "whens the last time you moved? Don't you remember it being like this?" and the other guy says " you left air in the boxes", ARE YOU KIDDING ME?

NIGHTMARE (Part III) So, wheres the rest of my stuff?"that's everything",, NO WAY, there's lots of stuff missing, boxes, a 500.00 chainsaw, the legs to my table" (just to name a few),, Johnathan at ACM tells me to give them a chance, I've been waiting a week to find out about my missing items, and now I'm told I have to wait for the drivers out on the west coast to wake up so she can talk to them,, I decided not to wait, I called a lawyer this morning and I've got a consultation in a couple days.
