Ripoff dishonest lying cheating stealing lazy auctionee

I observed the following behavior at an estate sale in which a 90 year old woman was having because her husband passed away and she was unable to keep the house and yard up:

The auctioneer would switch his auction style to suit his or his family/friend's needs.

Example: If there were 6 items that were all the same, you would bid on one and be given the option to buy as many as you wanted for the same price. However, when his son bid on an item, all 6 of the same item sold as a set which people did not know until after the auction closed.

Example: The auctioneer would hold up an item, and that would be the item you were bidding on. One instance, he picked an item up out of a box and let people bid. When his buddy won the auction, he threw the item back in the box and handed the box to his friend. When one of the bidders protested, he ignored them and moved on. Bear in mind, he typically picked items up out of boxes and you would bid on the item in his hand, not the item and the contents of the box.

Example: The auctioneer's son bid on some items and won. After the auction closed, the auctioneer then grabbed some items laying nearby and tossed them into his son's pile. He did not specify that the items laying 5 feet away from the pile being auctioned were included at any time. So instead of getting a few extra bucks for the old lady, he decided not to mess with it and let his son have the additional items that at no time were offered to the public for auction.

The final straw that broke the camel's back—and the reason I decided to report this thief:

There were a few additional items in a garage that the auctioneer said he would auction off after the items in the house were auctioned—to include the contents of the garage. After the auctioning of the items in the house concluded, the auction also concluded. At no time were the additional items in the garage or it's contents offered to the public for auction. When asked about it, he said the contents of the garage had sold to him and walked away.

I noticed many of the items that did not sell, made it onto his trailer as well. This man is a thief that had no problem stealing from a 90 year old woman. I would suggest that you never use him to auction your stuff—and be very careful if you are attending one of his auctions because you'll get the shaft... At double the price.

If you are a friend or family member of this auctioneer, I'd encourage you to attend one of his auctions because you'll get amazing deals, plus you'll have access to items that never make it to the public for auction.

Red Jones is, I'm sure, going straight to hell—but before he goes, let's try to prevent him from screwing over his clients and anyone unfortunate enough to find themselves at one of his auctions.
