Modeling scam asks for $569.00 up front sign contract call hotel room and bring money next day

Thank you for reporting on modeling scams. Specifically Alpha Model group a.K.A. On Track Modeling. My daughter went to the so-called "talent search" this evening in Knoxville, Tennessee 8/28/04 at a local hotel. She learned of this scout from the local newspaper; the ad read "no modeling classes to buy", so it sounded o.K.

Not so fast! My daughter was presented with a "sample contract" which I kept and if I have my way will be posted all over the hotel in the morning during "collection time" along with your other reports on this agency, (remember the no modeling classes to buy?) My daughter would have been hit up for $569.00 after she calls the hotel room of a gentleman posing as a talent scout tomorrow morning. Not only is this alarming for the simple fact that this man not only puts himself in a precarious position by giving out his hotel room number to young women and men, young women and men might be tempted to go to this person's room and possibly not only lose their money but far more.

This is a dangerous situation for the village idiots sent out to peddle this scam AND for young people desperate to believe they may actually get legitimate work from them! Do not give them money, and NEVER go to a hotel room for this crap!
