Walmart ever rising prices

I cannot understand your rising prices. Gas prices have dropped, and should not effect the price of groceries. Because when I have called my local Walmart in Hutchinson, KS, that was the line of crap I was told by the manager. Everything I have bought for the past 5 years has gone up, and not just by a few cents, but by whole dollar amounts. Great Value Paper Towels went from $2.67 to 3.97 in a week. Great Value Oatmeal in packets went from 1.42 to 1.62. Everything is going up! By leaps and bounds. What used to cost me 75.00 a week has gone to 120.00 a week. I buy the same things every trip. Why can't the Waltons take a hit for the consumer?
