Aaron's Sales & Lease Ownership For Less
Attemped ripoff and rude offensive behavior when I canceled a rent / purchase

After completing a couple of purchases with Aarons, I went there first when we decided my husband needed a new recliner. He is on oxygen full time and has a hard time moving around, so does alot of setting and watching TV. Shortly after getting the chair, a close friend and neighbor had a death in the family and no longer needed a brand new recliner they had just purchased, so offered to sell the recliner to us for much less than what the same chair costs at Aaron.

I had to call Aaarons twice to talk to someone to advise them they need to come and pickup the chair as I was not going to continue with the purchase. The manager I talk to, Ron, told me there was a 3 month minimum on the contract. After I advised him no one had ever told me that on any of the 3 purchases I had made, he said the he was very careful to tell people this, I again told him that I was never told about this. He then agreed to pickup the chair in five days. (delivery is on same or next day) I later checked my contract, and it clearly states the lease term is for 1 (one) month and is renewed with the payment for the next month. I feel this was an attemp to rip me off!!!

When the delivery drivers did come to pickup the chair, one of them made a comment to my husband, that if he didn't spend so much money on his die cast car collection (which he proudly displays in the living room), he could afford to pay for the chair. How rude can one be!!!
