After being a member with sams for years, they informed us that apparently the cashiers had not been doing their jobs by allowing us to write check that did not have my name on it.

The membership card had my name on it as primary and the checks had my husbands name on it with me as co-signee. After making our purchases, like we have always done, i wrote out the check... They said if they could find the policy they would show us that it said that the name on the card and the check must match.

Okay, if this is policy, fine, but maybe they could have mentioned this policy before they took our check for the membership fee! We promptly cancelled our membership when even the manager could not produce this policy in writing.

We had been spending approximately $350.00 a month there, apparently, they won't miss our $4200.00 per year. I am also sending a letter to sam's headquarters, although i am not expecting anything in return. Thank you for letting me vent.
