My husband and I wanted a brown Boston Terrier and found the most adorable on online with loved puppies. The ad said he would grow to be 15-20 lbs so we had him shipped to California. The next day I took him to my vet for a check and he was diagnosed with coxidia. Once that was treated with antibiotics and special foods we thought we were in the clear.

However, we kept ending up at the vet for one ailment or another. On top of that, this dog was growing faster than our other boston (she was 3 and weighed 12 lbs.) at 12 weeks, the new boy weighed 12 lbs. Our next thing to overcome was cherry eye. A somewhat common issue in these breeds however with all his other issues it was clear he came from a puppy mill. For the first year of his life he was at the vet monthly, if not weekly.

We became very concerned that we didn't get a purebred Boston, even the vets office was under the impression that he was mixed with Boxer or Pit.
