Gift Card

I received a Chadwick's gift card for $50 in October. Every time I tried to use the card online to make a purchase it wouldn't work. So, I called Chadwick's customer service and they informed me they weren't taking gift cards yet as the system was being updated. The service representative told me not to worry as the gift card has no expiration date! I had no idea they were in bankruptcy. I feel like this company knew what was going on and intentionally mislead me. I called tonight (2-20-12) and finally found out the truth. I was switched to a supervisor and she informed me there was nothing she could do as the system would not let her credit me. I feel like this company owes me and should credit me $50. If not, I will spread the word and never shop Chadwick's again. I used to be a loyal customer but no more if they don't make this right!!! Shame on Chadwick's!
