We attempted to shop at Family Dollar on Peach Orchard, Augusta, GA, 6 or 7 people were attempting to check out, the only other check out had a large hand written note stating, "NO RECEIPT". Who cares if you get a receipt for toilet paper, dog food, etc., we are older customers and ended up leaving the store and going to BI-LO across the street to get our purchases. This store just moved across the street from it's old location, put in sod, put in a sprinkler system and does not have but one check out open on sunday afternoon at 4pm. They were 2 men working, the one running the checkout watched up leave, neither even apologized for their slowness, the one running the checkout even moved the monitor for the person checking out to see what was on the screen, at least this is what it looked like as many of us stood waiting to checkout, the other man was standing behind the man running the register, holding an empty plastic bag. Needless to say, this new expensively built store with one checkout open will not do well during the coming busy season, esp. Since the only other checkout is at a 90 degree angle to the other, not very noticeable when trying to checkout. There are too many Dollar Generals to go back to Family dollar!
