I received a letter in the mail addressed to me. When opened it had my husbands name on it. I was immediately suspicious as my husband passed away 6 months ago. I didn't think much of the letter and didn't do anything with it. A few days later I received another letter just like it but it was addressed to my husband.
My roommates decided to look online to see if we can find out anything about this "Lottery" and came across the information that told us it was a scam. The Letter it showed online matched mine exactly, and the addresses and the lottery amount were identical.
We looked a little more and found the forms to report this company as a scam. I didn't get scammed, I got smart and checked it out first. If more people would check out these things before acting on them less people would be scammed each year. KNOW what your replying to and KNOW EXACTLY who your giving your personal or banking info to. If your unsure about it, do what I did. Check it out online first. Save yourself the headache and the trouble and protect yourself.
