Peter Mills and Richard Moore Home Loan Remodification Rip Off

My husband and I are behind in our mortgage and were contacted by USMS Corp to start the process of getting our mortgage re modified by Peter Mill. He promised if we paid his law office an attorney's fee he would work with our mortgage company in getting us a lower interest rate and a new modification of our loan. We sent them $2,250 in three installments and as other had said we worked with USMS as we were instructed and not our mortgage company.

We started this process in October and were promised that we would have a closing by the first of the year. After the last payment, Mr. Mills stop updating us and after leaving messages he also stopped returning our calls. The last conversation was February 14 and Mr. Mills said he would call our mortgage company to see how the loan modification was being negotiated.

We are not in foreclosure but God hope we can keep from losing our home. I don't know where to go from here or do not know what to do. We only hope that some of the complaints were only people who Mr. Mills could not help. I am calling our mortgage company today!
