Rip-off! They depressed me. I'm a 13 yr. Old and they made me think that I won a poetry contest and a shakespeare trophy

I am a 13 year old girl. I love writing poetry, and this contest I found, excited me. The Famous Poets society told me that I was a semi-finalist. I kept praying that I would win, and then I got the letter. "Congatulations Victoria. We will honor you as a Famous Poet for 2004 and present you with our elegant Shakespear Trophy of Excellence." They even offered me a scholarship and a chance to be on tv.

My dad was smart and checked this thing out. Today, he broke the news to me. It was a scam. No trophy, no trip to Reno, (that's where I would except the trophy) no tv appearence. My heart was broken. I had already called all of my family and friends. I even told stangers!

I can't believe that they were willing to make me miserable. Sure, my poem my might have won, but now I feel like I have won the biggest idiot award. I am willing to do anything to put these jerks out of buisness.
