Boxer puppy with severe respiratory infection and diarrhea Internet

I found a puppy for sale on lancasterpuppies.com, and went to the seller's farm in PA to purchase him. The first red flag was that the city on his ad was 70 miles from the farm I was directed to to pick him up. The seller claimed the litter was his sister's, who lives in IL, and cannot sell the puppies there because the market isn't strong there. He had no information on the parents, which was also odd as they were his sister's dogs. He had no health certificate or medical papers on the pups either. After 4 hours of driving, I bought the dog as I had my heart set on it... Against my better judegment as there was nothing in the seller's story that made any sense.

I kept the dog for 36 hours, and returned him because of a severe respiratory infection (dark green mucous coming out of his nose and intense coughing) and diarrhea.

I'm from the Midwest, and had no idea the area I was buying this dog was known as the "puppy mill capital of the East." Shame on me for not doing my research, and making an emotionally charged buy. After reading quite a bit, I am convinced these dogs were from a mill:-Pup had respiratory infection & diarrehea (very common among puppy mill dogs)-No information on the parents-No medical papers whatsoever-Weren't allowed to see the litter-Very odd story as to why he had the dogs-Seller stated he was located in a city 70 miles away from the farm where the puppies were-Extremely transactional, rushed through the purchase-Contract looked like a 5 year old put it together, complete with whiteout over typed letters & filled in with pen over the typos

My advice: don't fall in love and get set on buying a pup from a "breeder" or seller on this site. It's easy to get duped by the professional pictures. Buyer beware!!
