I enlisted Ethos 360 in Portland to write a business plan. They told me they couldn't accept credit card payments through their website, so the details would need to be sent directly via email. Ethos 360 never had me personally sign any contract before debiting my credit card and at no point was a price breakdown ever provided to justify the insanely high cost of the product.

They deducted 2 very large installments of money (50% before any work was commenced and 50% after delivering the foundation draft in watermarked PDF format). The document contained blatant mistakes, errors, and omissions of crucial sections that any standard business plan should have. The financial model was complete nonsense which catered to an entirely different company, product and niche than the one we operate. Their Year 1 projections had us running us into the ground so badly (by failing to account for several key facts and streams of revenue) that any investor would have just waved a hand at this "business plan" and passed it off as a big joke.
