I paid in full for moving service from Ohio to Iowa. Fee was based on cubic feet. But the movers did not use a truck big enough, so even though I paid for the space, I did not "get it." Now it is a month later and I still don't have four pieces of furniture. No one calls or emails me back—as they have both my money and my belongings.

Today I was told by the movers that they were just fine with having taken my money, not provided the service, and not providing any customer service. Discount-movers.com references this website as evidence that they have a reputable service. But they are the ones who received my money, contracted the movers, did not require the movers to fulfill the contract, nor did they return phone calls or emails.

If I had known how terrible the service would be, how the movers would treat my purchase of their service as an "inconvenience, " I would have gone with a different company altogether. The goods that the movers couldn't seem to find a way to get here would fit into the back of a pick-up! And it is only a seven hour drive from where the goods are (Chicago area) to my home. Now I am told they will be arriving on a truck that will first be going to Texas! This was a case of false advertising, failure to fulfill a contract, and terrible customer service.
