Rude, harassing and unprofessional bunch of liers

I started getting phone calls from these people. They would not tell me what I owed (I did not owe anyone anything) unless I gave them my address. I said I wouldn't, of course, and they said "then they will just be calling until I do". Finally I dug out the information: it was a closed account for 20 bucks with one of my make-up provider that somehow accidentally turned up as a debt. The account was successfully cancelled out and cleared by that company 5 years ago. I sent ARC proof of that and asked for a confirmation email that "I am all set and they would leave me alone", they promised on the phone that "they would" and now, a month later, another agent from ARC is calling, claiming that "I owe them and there is no evidence I'd ever dealt with a prior agent and gotten everything straightened out". I said, "One more call and I will file a police report". He told me to "pay my bills or they will still be calling"... I think it was all made on purpose to drive people to despair and pay what they do not owe - just to shut their lying mouths up. I wonder if police in the US can investigate them.
