I was desperate, unemployed or underemployed for 3 years. How can you go wrong with a guarantee like resumesguranteed? Well, unless you read all the fine print, it is a SCAM. The fine print that I missed was that they require you to mail 30 resumes out certified mail. I read a rebuttal on this website that claimed that they have modified their procedures to account for on line resume submittals but that is not true. I called October 20 and after I said I was calling for a refund I was put on hold for several minutes. When he returned to the line he told me that I needed to send them the receipts for the 30 certified mail resume submittals.

The resume they wrote for me was slightly better than the one I provided, mainly in format. The biggest part of the scam was the job finder part. It appeared that the job leads they provided were taken out of an basic internet search or taken from the yellow pages. I am a long time Savannah area resident and I am familiar the majority of the companies on the provided list. Half of the list were companies going through their second, third and even fourth round of layoffs. The majority of the other half of the list were 1 man operations that barely had enough work to keep them afloat. The remaining companies on the list were not even in the field I requested.

In my opinion, hire someone local to tweak your resume and do your own search for jobs on the internet. I deeply regret not reading all the fine print and giving these guys so much money.
