AMY BASS, LPCI, MSI, Social Worker I paid for services in advance that were never completed. Does not return calls when attemting to get refund

I filed for a divorce in June in San Antonio Texas. Part of the court ordered services was to hire a Licensed Professional Counselor to conduct a study with our children as it involved a custody dispute. Amy Bass was hired to conduct this service. I met with her and paid $1000 in advance to hire her for her services. Within a few weeks my wife and I reconciled so the need for these services were no longer needed.

I contacted Amy Bass on several occasions to inquire about a refund minus any payment for her time during our 3 hour meeting. She never responded. I tried again on several occasions, SHE NEVER RESPONDED. I went to her office and left a message with a staff member there, SHE NEVER RETURNED OR CALLED.

Obviously since the $1000 was paid in advance she has no intention on returning any of it.

If you are in need of a Licensed Professional Counselor to conduct any social service study for you in San Antonio or Bexar County I will avoid her.

Seems the only recourse is a claim in court. 90 days have past so I am unable to dispute charge with my credit card company. Still weighing that option as well as researching filing a complaint with any state regulatory board she is licensed under.
