Keeps Contractor's Money in

Signed on for this service on Sept. 15. I spoke with Conrad and explained that I had bad experience with another Lead/Referral service. I was told if I was not happy I could cancel and get my money back. That is not true. I received 3 referrals total and all have been disputed. 2 referrals were immediately disputed as the project owners did not want to do the work they claimed they wanted done. 3rd referral for a new home was by a person that truly had mental issues, who did not own the lot nor had the means to buy the lot priced at $425K in north suburbs of Chicago., much less build a home on it.

It has not been 30 days yet and I have asked to cancel my membership to which Construction Deal replied that will only refund the money that is left after the referral costs are deducted. I deposited $400 on Sept. 15 and today, Oct. 11 I will only get a refund for $265.00 as they will keep this money as credit toward more referrals. They promise to send me good referrals next time. Oh and by the way, if I contact m credit card company and ask them to step in to help me get my full refund, they will charge me $35.00.

This is clearly an example that it does not pay to "pay" someone for leads that are obviously not qualified and if you read the fine print on their terms, you realize that they have been through this before. Contractors beware! You would be better off spending money in local advertising!
