They won't exchange a pair of jeans for a size smaller, they said because she tried them on

We purchased a pair of their $100.00 jeans. They refused to exchange the jeans for a smaller size due to "not in new condition", GOD AS MY WITNESS; they were tried on once and boxed up.

The store was not helpful and an unknown female came up with every excuse not to exchange. 1st: it was to due a time frame, when I complained I got the 2nd reason: the jeans were not in new condition, she stated that because we asked for a smaller size they must have been worn...

She refused to do anything and said they will send the jeans back to us and hung up the phone...
