Shops, Products, Services

FanBox sends out email using your name to your contacts so that they can lure you with an email saying "you" have a tiny youtube video and want the recipient to view. Once the recipient clicks anything in the email, including to get off their mailing list, they steal your contacts and will use your name to spam more victims. I fell for it when received a tiny youtube invitation from a video producer friend, but they stole his identity and email contacts. When I clicked the launch, was taken to website that asked if I want my contacts to be notified about the video. I clicked "NO" but that does no good because any click lets them steal your contacts. My name has been used for three years with invitations that seem legitimate. Be careful, too, of using FanBox in searches because as I was reporting them to FCC, for the second time, a fraudulent virus alert appeared claiming to come from Windows Security. Don't click that either.

The address given for FanBox in San Diego is a Postal Annex address. They rent a postal box their and use the address as a mailing address to seem legitimate. FanBox - 113 West G Street, STE 510, San Diego, CA 92101, USA, is their address in the email. Don't click anything in the email. Report them to Postal Annex, the owners of the business address they use by phoning (619) 702-7522. FanBox has many scams, thefts, fake website hosting, fake invitations, and charge your credit card for no services provide if you give it to them. Very dangerous group with people in San Francisco and elsewhere perpetrating the fraud. They appear legitimate, and that is how they lure people whose identities and money they steal. Report them to FCC and local police if you are in San Diego.
