SDI HEAVY TRANSPORT, INC Has continued to rip off PIlot Car drivers for years

My husband and I run a Pilot car company. Last November we were contacted by SDI Heavy Transport, LLC to escort 3 Oversized Loads through Illinois. The company is owned by Scott & Corina Malone out of Troutsdale, OR. Corina faxed a signed confirmation letter to us which reads they would pay by EFS check at the end of the load. After the load was complete I wrote up an invoice, and faxed it in with no response. We were able to get Corina on the phone once, but she quickly disregarded the call and said "I'll call you right back." We tried countless times, but the phone was never answered again.

I ran an internet search and quickly discovered we weren't their first victim. There were several others and, I discovered today, another just last January.in fact, they are not only SDI Heavy Transport, LLC but they are:

- SDI Heavy Transport, Inc.
- Bestrate Transport Services, LLC
- Rockmaster Drilling Equipment
- CPI Transport

Apparently, they change their name as people begin to catch on to them. I hired a collection agent and eventually the case went dead. They dissolved their LLC meaning I could no longer collect on my invoice. I also received a call from a litigation firm that informed me Scott Malone is currently on probation for ripping people off in the transportation industry. Too bad I don't have that probation officer's number! YET!

I read today about a woman named Shirley that just ran a load with him last January. The name on the truck said CPI and the driver's name was Otto #1205. The man that arranged these loads over the phone was Scott Malone. She was also promised an EFS check. When she called in to authorize her check she was told it was "branched" which meant the paperwork had been done but the money was never put up to back. She traced the DOT# & MC# on the side of the truck and both number came back registered to SDI. This driver is the SAME I worked with last November and the same truck #1205. I tried to get the word out about the Malones, but unfortunately, he ripped off someone else. I'm so sorry Shirley!

The Malones' are running a coast to coast transportation service. They are required to purchase permits to run loads through each state they pass through. They are also required to hire escort/pilot drivers per the permitted state requirements... Which means they are crossing state lines, doing business as they go, and ripping people off all at the same time.in case anyone is curious, they currently have an Ad on AngiesList under the name Rockmaster Drilling Equipment. They have no intentions of ever stopping their scam. Please get the word out!
