Took payment then won't let me log in saying I am using an existing login that belongs to someone else internet

I gave payment, then tried to log in but was denied access, because they said my username/password combination belonged to someone else and was already in use, but it never gave me an opportunity to set up anything different. I tried to contact them but of course there was only an email site that of course did not respond. How do you tell a server that this is your password that it is denying. If this is the kind of control it has it is ridiculous. But it seems to be a way to get your money and give nothing in return.
