Hired Crude Grace (DBA of Hildebrandt Studio at the time) to provide services and design/build solutions for interior/exterior design, fixtures, build out, etc. Of retail store. Agreed to TTL $ for project and scope of work as well as express and implied conditions therein. Shortly into project, conditions of agreement were breached by Crude Grace (Hildebrandt Studio) and it was suspected that unlawful actions were taking place. E.G. Conducting work without permitting from city. It was also discovered that Crude Grace (Hildebrandt Studio) had presented a false front as a business.
As work continued Crude Grace (Hildebrandt Studio) failed to meet additional express and implied conditions/obligations of agreement.
As a result of failures, unlawful actions, and breach of agreement Crude Grace (Hildebrandt Studio) was
summarily terminated.
As a result our business failed to meet opening deadline, we lost funding from investors, and had to close business
Seeking action/reimbursement for monies paid out and compensation for further damages incurred e.G. Closing of business, loss of revenue, etc.
Further Notes:
We suspect they performed contracting without contractors license
Suspect they took money for contracting without license (against CA law)
Presented false information and facts about their business
Changed work orders without client approval
Failed to get work licensed and approved by city
Failed to meet timeline goals
Presented false costs for work/labor/material and inflated invoices
Failed to provide samples, material costs, and contractor bids for approval
Failed to return paid monies for work not completed
