National Automobile Dealers Association (NADA)
National Automobile Dealers Association, NADA, Prints Incorrect Values of Vehicles That Consumers and Businesses Depend on Nationwide

Shops, Products, Services

We recently had to order some pages of an outdated issue (Sept/ Dec) of the NADA Classic Auto Guide (at the request of our insurance co.) because our classic vehicle was stolen and our insurance company wanted us to prove its value at the time it was stolen. Of course everyone depends on NADA, like their website says, lawyers, dealers, insurance companies and private people like us. Well anyone who knows cars and NADA depends on and trusts their numbers, after all, their book goes nationwide and their website is viewed by thousands daily.

It was about about 2 weeks later after we paid for and received the pages we needed and forwarded them to our insurance co. (Nationwide), the person that sent them to me emailed us and said "the value for your vehicle was a misprint in that issue, sorry for any inconvenience."! Mmmm - this information that goes nationwide, on the internet, that insurance companies, dealerships, and law firms depend on (according to their website) now all of a sudden has a misprint for THAT VEHICLE. This sounds so fishy it stinks!
