In 2008 I purchased a whirlpool front load washer from Brandsmart Usa and when i purchased the unit I was offered an extended warranty contract which I reluctantly purchased. I had a one year manufacturer warranty and then a two year extended warranty from Warrantech. I started having problems about 9 months into the manufacturer warranty and they repaired the problem without question. The warranty expired with whirlpool so when we had more problems I called brandsmart and thats when I found out that they use this company called Warrantech and they were quick to send out a technician who promptly explained that the door leaking is "cosmetic" and not covered but he wood try and repair it. This repair lasted about 6 months when it started pouring water from the door yet again and when they arrived they promptly repaired the door even though again we were told that a door on a front load washer is not considered needed equipment again I was told it was "cosmetic".

I reached out to there office where I was told they needed to perform 2 repairs before considering replacing the door or the unit. At this point I was told yes it is a covered repair and the technician is wrong. Fast forward to April 5th when again the door leaked and I called Warrentech. They informed me my warranty would expire on April 10th and they were so busy they couldnt get anyone out until The 11th and they would still cover the door. They arrived today to tell me the door is Cosmetic and they are no longer obligated to perform any repairs due to my warranty being expired and the door being cosmetic. They did however offer to pay 400.00 of a 600.00 repair and I said thanks but no thanks. I then called there office where the customer service rep seemed to agree with me and said he thought it shoul/would be covered only to receive a phone call 2 hours later saying it is not a covered repair. At this point I said if you are willing to pay the 400.00 of a 600.00 repair you can just send me a check and I will be glad to put that toward a new washer where they then put a supervisor named Keesha on the phone who I quickly realized is not familiar with the English language. It sounded more like someone fron the lower east side of Brookly or maybe over in Harlem. Either way they have denied my request to speak with the CEO of the company and I have spent a total of 3.5 hours holding waiting for him to pick up the phone. He never came to the phone or called me back.

These guys just want to bottom feed off of my misfortune and they feel like as long as they are getting away with it they can/will continue to prey on people who have been suckered in by the FALSE advertising of the companies who push there rip off waranty. If you are offered a home warranty/appliance warranty or any other extended warranty be sure to make certain it is not Warrantech Corporation.
