As the timer on the auction counts down towards zero, that auction action picks with the lightning round. Every time a bid is placed on the auction during the lightning round, the price goes up $. 01
and additional seconds are added to the auction. You may continue to bid on the auction until the timer reaches 0 and the auction is over. And the highest bidder wins in the end.

Last Friday (April 1), I got my eye on a brand new iPad2 32GB WiFi, and was determined to win it. The lightning round started at 3:30PM, and as the bidding battle heated up, I realized I could never win, because no matter how many bid packages you buy, there's always a bidder who can beat you! So I began to monitor the whole process carefully.
