Mrdry steam ripoff claimed to know how to clean carpets but they turned out awful

I contracted, thru an ad in a Pennysaver, to have this company (with no address on their invoice) clean my living room and bedroom carpeting and an 8x12 area rug in the living room. They were heavily soiled. Manny, the guy who came to see the carpeting, assured me that they would and could clean everything, with no problem.

Needless to say, the area rug came out just the same as when I gave it to them, plus the lining was torn! The bedroom carpet was done OK, but that had no stains on it. The living room wall to wall carpeting had many stains and he said it would have to be cleaned several times. He did it once with a machine and then used some chemical spray. The area rug was a disaster! I was charged $268.00 for this mess and gave a deposit of $140.00 owing $128.

After several tries and delays he returned the area rug and admitted he couldn't clean it any better. He said he wouldn't charge me the balance. My complaint is that the work they "supposedly" did was not worth the $140.00, since there are many companies that charge a fraction of what he charged me to steam clean 2 rooms of carpeting.

They rip people off and you don't have recourse, since they don't list an address and are not in the phone book.
